Ministries at Christ the Servant

Outreach Ministry

Since our formation in 1981, Christ the Servant Lutheran Church has a rich history of serving and sharing Christ's saving message in the Allen community.
Our theme is "God's Work, Our Hands." All members have a t-shirt that show our community the unity we have so we are known for our love and service. We wear our shirts as a re minder when we step out to serve our community.
The Outreach Ministry is active in events the City of Allen offers to help reach citizens of our community.
Christ the Servant sponsors other organizations that meet in our building such as Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, Early Childhood PTA, Hearts for Arts, the Allen Community Band and a local Indonesian Lutheran Church. We are very blessed to host these organizations.

Thanksgiving Brown Bag Meals

Our church as a whole contributes to serve those who are unable to be with their families on Thanksgiving. Our Children's Ministry makes cards and decorates brown bags; our Youth Ministry bakes desserts, and families are invited to help on Thanksgiving Day to make, stuff and deliver bags. This has become a wonderful outreach ministry Christ the Servant offers.

Member Care

Our Member Care group provides help to our congregation through crisis by providing meals, caregiver support and health and wellness programs.

Family Promise

Family Promise of Collin County is a network of congregations that work together in our area for the same purpose. Christ the Servant is one of fourteen host congregations in the local Family Promise network. Host congregations participate by providing overnight week long lodging and meals for three to five families, up to 14 persons, on a rotating basis. Our hospitality as a host congregation provides a safe place for families to stay as they get back on their feet.
