Christ the Servant began in 1980 as a group of families worshiping together at Reed Elementary in Allen. The congregation grew steadily, and in 1985 broke ground on the church building that is home today. CtS is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), formed in 1988 through the merger of the American Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Church in America, and the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches. Each ELCA congregation operates independently.
God wants a relationship with us, and our services are where we explore that relationship together. Whether you're new to faith or have been on this journey a while, you'll find a safe place to ask questions and grow.
God has a plan for each of us, and it begins with reaching out and making a difference in the lives of others. Experience the joy of serving in the church and the community with your gifts, time, and talents.
Everyone, including you, has an important part in God's plan. We help you find the steps to see just how much you matter, both to God and to your community.
Our Church Council is elected from the congregation and serves entirely as volunteers. Council members set policy, make financial decisions, and tend to the spiritual health of the congregation. The Council meets monthly on a Sunday.
